FAIRFIELD (CNB) – The Department of Transportation advises that the closure on Route 111 in Fairfield from the Rankin Road to Route 825 will be extended for about two weeks, until June 30.

This extended closure is necessary to complete work on the new Gardner Creek Bridge on Route 111. The work involves deck repairs, waterproofing and paving.

Detour signs are in place. Trucks must use Route 825 through Garnett Settlement because they are not permitted on Rankin Road.
