SUNNY CORNER (CNB) – The provincial government is making investments to help three associations in Sunny Corner. Public Safety Minister and Solicitor General John W. Foran made the announcement today.

"Supporting our community groups is vital to the success of our communities," said Foran.

Foran was speaking on behalf of Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.

The provincial government is providing a total of $165,000. Of this, $75,000 will be invested in the Sunny Corner Fire Community Hall. These funds will result in the purchase and installation of a new elevator.

Another $50,000 will be invested in Sunny Corner Arena. This funding will be used to upgrade the facility, including to overhaul and rebuild  two ice plant compressors and instal shield glass.

The Royal Canadian Legion in Sunny Corner will receive $40,000 to undergo renovations, including new kitchen taps and sinks, carpet, windows, and front step.
