FREDERICTON (GNB) – A new tourism website launched today responds to the format of any device and provides a wealth of functional and visually-appealing information.

“We know the use of mobile devices is growing at an extremely fast rate and New Brunswick is up to the challenge of providing visitors and potential visitors with access to the right information when and where they need it,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Bill Fraser. “This new website is an integral tool to boost the industry and promote what our beautiful province has to offer.”

The website is part of the department’s integrated marketing efforts to engage and attract potential visitors. In addition to the responsive format, the site features extensive video content and enhanced integration with other digital channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.  It also has a profiling tool to identify the potential visitor’s interest and deliver personalized content.

Along with the tourism guide, which was launched in March, and the summer marketing campaign, the new website connects New Brunswickers and visitors to the unique and authentic experiences available in the province.

“I encourage anyone interested in vacationing in New Brunswick to visit our new website to plan their stay,” said Fraser. “Visitors will immediately see that our province is an exceptional destination that is big enough to deliver world-class tourism experiences, and small enough to care.”

The tourism industry is important to the provincial economy. For every dollar invested in promoting the province as a tourism destination, there is a return of $3.50 that can be invested towards job creation and helping families.
