FREDERICTON (GNB) – Renowned photographer Thaddeus Holownia, ONB, will give a public lecture at 7 p.m. at Government House in Fredericton on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

"I am so pleased to invite the public to this free event at 'New Brunswick's ‎Ceremonial Home' to hear this esteemed artist and educator," said Lt.-Gov. Jocelyne Roy Vienneau. "I am also proud that this event falls under the banner of 'Canada 150', because Thaddeus will be discussing pride of place."

Holownia's lecture is entitled The Importance of a New Brunswick place – the Tantramar Marshes and will help to close his current exhibit Dykelands, on display in the galleries at Government House.

"I am proud to speak on this bellwether exhibit, a turning point in my photographic career, which captures the Tantramar marshes, a region in New Brunswick which has impacted my entire life," said Holownia.

The lecture will be introduced by Roy Vienneau and will be followed by a reception.
