Overview
This department is responsible for the compliance of the marine finfish aquaculture industry under the authority of the Water Quality Regulation- Clean Environment Act and developing policies on environmental monitoring and discharge limits, including approval of all marine finfish aquaculture industries.

All operators of marine finfish aquaculture facilities.
Description
The Environmental Management Guidelines for the Marine Finfish Cage Aquaculture Industry in New Brunswick (EMG) have been developed as well as the Standard Operating Practices document outlining the procedure for carrying out the environmental monitoring. A comprehensive auditing component has been developed in conjunction with the annual monitoring to ensure compliance with these two documents.
The attached application form is for approval of new or modified sites and includes a section on historical data, production plan, and site diagram. The Application will not be considered complete without the completion of Appendix A - Supporting Information. Incomplete applications will be returned unprocessed.
